Istanbul

After getting up from a great sleep in our fancy hotel we head out to check out Istanbul using the free shuttle that came with the hotel. Apparently it is the hottest day this year, we all started sweating at an unbelievable rate within 30 seconds of being out on the streets. We walked the streets, looking at the Blue Mosque amongst many others, but ultimately wanting to go to the Grand Bazaar. After some time and about 20L of water we found out that the Grand Bazaar was closed on Sundays - much to our surprise as Chris had convinced everyone that it was Monday. We will try again the next morning. After a day in the city we headed back to the hotel for a dip in the pool and a beer where we met up with a fellow Mongol Rallier named Moo. On that occasion we headed back into downtown Istanbul for some food beer and a Hooka - a water pipe used to smoke flavoured tobacco. Moo was driving by himself as his partner had backed out at the last minute. In the morning we packed up the Pale Horse and checked out of the hotel. Headed for the Grand Bazaar.
